I found this 2004 Extracab SR5 OR 4x4 with 131,000 miles on AutoNation. It has a good service history on carfax, one owner as well, but has been in an accident. Carfax doesn't say how bad the wreck was. The inspection from AutoNation came back clean except for a seep at the steering rack. It also has some bad rust on the top of the truck. They are asking $10,652 out the door. What do y'all think? Thanks!

With the roof the way it is I wouldn’t pay that.
How long have you been looking for one?

I’m trying to get them lower, but they say they won't budge because it’s the "one price" policy of auto nation.

I have been looking for about three weeks. Will to spend about 10K max.

That looks like it should be worth about 7.5k. 8 max

Private party value is between 6k and 9k but with that rust, I wouldn't pay more than 4k and that's stretching it.

was the accident having some sorta funky stuff accidently drizzled on the roof

has the autonation seen the roof? ... has that roof perforated yet?
and what do they at autonation have to say for that?
I am going to estimate a pro grade repaint for that (probably also need to do rest of cab, hood and doors to blend depending on how weathered rest of paint is?) is going to be more than $5k

I tried to get them to move down on price. Talked to the manager as well, but no budging at all. I even asked if they took into consideration the rust. Still nothing.

Thanks everyone for the input. I’m going to keep looking.

Just keep looking man. If I’m paying 10k it better be damn near close to mint garage kept condition. I’d say it’s worth no more than 5500-6k.

You can get one with that amount of miles and NO accident for that much money. Keep looking.

it would certainly be interesting if somebody out there (someone that's never heard of TW (like me 7 months ago)) actually pays that much for it

Four virtues when buying a vehicle. Patience, research, knowing when to run and when to pull the trigger. I’d run from this one.
    Good luck!

Didnt know black seats were an option. :puke:

The fact that the previous owner never took the time to clean it tells me they didnt care for the truck much. Pass.
