Over the past couple of days, I noticed the radiator cap has been spitting. The dried "Toyota Red" antifreeze leaves a white residue. This is a new OEM cap that I bought and installed two months ago. I really prefer to only run OEM radiator caps and thermostats.

I have no idea about the radiator brand. I would suspect it to be some aftermarket. I doubt there is a problem with the cap. I'm going to try an Advance Auto Car Quest cap to see if it plays better with this aftermarket radiator.

    Has anyone seen this before?

I bought that same exact cap when I replaced my radiator 3 months ago; no issues to date.

Did you inspect the plastic expansion tank on your radiator? You could have a crack like I did.

The tank is good. The radiator was replaced by the previous owner roughly 3,000 miles ago. I think this is some "goofball aftermarket" radiator and the filler neck might be a little bit different from an OEM. I put on the Carquest cap and took it for a drive. So far it's holding.
