Here's a couple pictures from our Temperance River State Park fall trip. It was back in October but I thought I'd post them anyways seeing as how I want to be more of a part of the TW community. I built a 5x8 teardrop knock off that looks more like a burnt toaster but we like it and it serves our purposes perfectly. I will probably put more pictures of the build of the teardrop and maybe some of the things I've done to the Tacoma since I took these pictures.

I have Weathertech floormats, Coverking Balistic Tactical Seat covers, fire extinguisher, other random stuff. I also have Bestop Supertop that I'm waiting to install. (i hear its hard to install when its under 65 degrees) I'm not sure if i'm going to sell this and buy a 4x4 double cab. There are a couple good deals around here i'm looking at. Still kind of weighing the pros and cons of "upgrading" though. I just don't see the point in lifting and putting bigger tires on a 4x2 4cyl... I like your build though and it looks bad ass. I can get 30 MPG if i baby it so thats one of the main reasons i dont want to lift and put bigger tires on.

I haven't posted on this in a while.. I loved my Tacoma but would have loved it more if it had 4 wheel drive and 4 doors. So i found something I do love. But first a couple reasons why I got the Tundra vs a 4x4 double cab Tacoma are: The v8 doesn't get that worse gas mileage than the v6 Tacoma, it will tow my boat and camper a bit better and the interior and bed are a bit bigger which will leave more cargo room for the dogs, and more gear for extended trips. I bought a 2008 Toyota Tundra TRD double cab with 60,000 miles on it. I took my wife up to the Apostle Islands for a long weekend. Longer trip for the Tundra- getting ready for our PNW trip in October!

Welp figured i should do a little update here since i took my puppy, wife, tundra and teardrop style camper to the PNW on a little road trip. It started as an amazing trip. Stopping in South Dakota, Wyoming, Idaho, Oregon and Washington. Then the tongue on my trailer snapped coming down mt Olympic as well as us getting chased off the coast because there was a typhoon that turned into a tornado when it hit land within a mile of where we were staying,f as well as 50+ mph winds coming home thru the mountains.. besides these things it was a pretty decent trip... even though we cut our trip short by 5 whole days... Which I was kind of bummed about because we could have gone anywhere... Moab, Zion, Redwoods, etc...

Welp obviously it's been a while since I updated this thread but I had to put the Sequoia down and after much weighing between the Tundra, Tacoma, and 4runner I went back to a 2016 Tacoma double cab with. Short bed 6spd manual! I love it! I've been trying to get back into a manual and this was the perfect opportunity.
