Going to try adding another trim packer to my driver side front coil. Most of my lean seems to be from the rear but jacking up the rear passenger side proves some is probably in the front end also. As for the rear lean I need to figure out how I want to handle it. Can I even use a flat shim when I'm looking at getting a pinion angle shim as well. Not sure if stacking them would be a very good idea.

Do you recommend the spc UCA ? Or will factory do ? Also it seems nitro chargers in the front over billies provides a better ride is that true ?

I decided that I would rather replace the entire UCA than worry about bushings and UBJs, by themselves. As far as I remember, it's not absolutely necessary to use the SPC arms. I just chose to go that route.

*BE WARNED* UBJ replacement is a gigantic pain without the proper equipment. Just do yourself a favor and rent a ball joint replacement kit. We used one from O'Reilly with an additional "4X4 adapter kit".

So far, with the entire front end now replaced, my truck is riding beautifully. A little more stiff for sure, but so much tighter.

I can't speak on Nitrochargers vs Billies. I love my setup, and landed on them due to research on this forum where multiple folks basically stated "They're made to work with that setup". Some folks also spoke of the NCs being slightly better made.

Yeah, man. Had to look at it from a different angle! I literally figured it out right after we finished talking! Lol. Now I just have to find the time to clean them up like I want...

I have a prerunner, so I have no diff to drop. It's definitely a mall crawler move, but I wanted to beef up my suspension. End result, my truck is lifted and leveled now.

Every post I've seen about it suggests two things: At least look into a diff drop kit. Get a brake proportioning valve relocation bracket.

Also consider 3 degree shims for the rear axle.

 

Just curious so you have one now and you going to add another 5mm trim to have a total of 10mm up on the driver side front?

 

Yeah I've seen other guys running 10mm of trim packers. I'm 99% sure my front end will be fixed of lean by adding it. Just need to find time to add the 2nd trim packer.

 

Do you still have over .5" of lean now with just one 5mm trim pack?

 

It's right around .5". Seems to have settled into this lean because when the lift was first put on the rear lean showed up first then the front. First time I noticed the front driver lean was when I had an almost 99% empty gas tank.

 

So these sleeves should not be like this right? Lol

 

Wanted to ask a quick question here...

Currently running 881 w/ 10mm top spacers. Once settled, it did not give me enough lift to stay level with my rear lift (progressive AAL.) I bought 882 springs to compensate by brining up the front a bit more.

In theory these springs with no top spacer should be 10mm taller than 881 w/ 10mm top plate spacer, as 881 are 20mm shorter than 882. Am I correct in that theory? Can I assume that the 882 will level me out? Or should I not bother?

These are my current measurements (fender to ground)
LF - 38.5" RF - 39.5"
LR - 40.5" RR - 41"

Hey all, got a couple questions before purchasing... Xtracab V6 4x4 auto daily driver, no added weight in front (yet), bed is usually empty but add ~250-300 lbs for camping. Planning to add armor over time as my trip "adventures" escalate. Tires currently 265-75-16, potentially going for 255-85-16 with no plans to go bigger.

Question 1: I'm not really concerned with how much lift I'm getting, whether it's 1.5" or 2.5", I just want it to be uniform - level or minimal rake. Would I need to modify the following parts list to meet that goal? (understood that actual results may vary)

Question 2: Is my parts list complete, am I missing anything?

• 881 Coils
• x4 Nitrochargers
• Dakar pack (nothing removed)
• 5mm trim packer for "taco lean"
• Diff drop
• Longer U-bolts
• OME Shackles + Bushings
• BPV extension

I'm pretty sure I can fit 255-85-16 with minimal modification in the wheel well (and moving the spare to the tailgate), I don't need new UCAs or bump stops at this time, if I add armor I'd probably need 883 + AAL + extended brake line. That all sound correct?

 

I'm in the same predicament. Running 881 with 3/8 spacer in front. My rake is identical to yours. Rear is 1/2"-3/4" taller. Thought about buying a set of 882s and running those with no spacer. Looking forward to seeing how yours comes out.

 

Mine was like this but I opted for a shorter shackle to bring the rear down. Cheaper and easier fo sho. The front is plenty high enough.

 

Im super happy with the 882. It’s perfectly level now. Here’s before and after.

Only issue now is that I added a diff drop and I’m getting some weird vibes at highway speed. Don’t know if that’s from CV angles or diff drop, might remove it.
