I had to sneak in one more night of camping last night before returning to work tomorrow after two weeks off. :(

Just got back from a few days at Lake Powell.

As usual, the picture doesn't do it justice, but the stars were ridiculous.

Anyone have any suggestions for low-profile, quick disconnect brackets that could be used to support an awning?

I got a killer deal on one of the cheap Chinese clones, and I want to be able to switch it to either side, as well as make the mounting adaptable in case the thing has a catastrophic failure on the first use and has to be upgraded.

As an example, something like this would be perfect, but unfortunately they don't seem to be available anymore.

I have been using these mounts with good success. I mounted up my solar shower using the same mounts. Not as low profile and the long term tests are still in progress.

These are now on a few drifters I believe. So far so good! the mounts above do look like a pretty cool idea as well.

Hmmm, I like the simplicity of those, but not the premium...
I mean no disrespect, but aside from the little bent slot, those could be made in 10 minutes with like $8 of material and $30 worth of tools.
I'm weird about that type of stuff, and generally refuse to support it on principle.

Appreciate the heads up though. That helps me think about options.

I feel ya. I actually made something similar on my Flippac but wasn’t going to have the time this go around. Plus the guy Adam that is making them is a nice dude. Once you factor in the exchange rate they are pretty reasonable IMO.

If you can find stainless plate for that chap and can make them up that quick by all means!

Can anybody tell me if the ARB fridge cord would work with a Dometic CFX 95dz? My Dometic cord got damaged recently and I can't find a replacement.

ARB does not make their own fridges they are made by Dometic
And I can tell you for 100% sure the cord from my old ARB 50qt worked on my dermatic CFX 75 dual zone
So I would assume it would work just the same on your CFX 95

    Thanks.

Side note: I didn’t realize the conversion from aud to usd was so favorable for us.

This is why Instagram seems like the Wild West for Aussie Importing right now... everyone is clamoring to be an exclusive distributor to some key/critical Overlanding equipment. Not that it’s a abad thing. I just find it comical.
