The rear discs are working awesome. I replaced the hardlines and welded on tabs to hold them in place.

My next project is a late model upper intake with a 7mgte throttle body and ‘82 Supra AFM. So I pulled the intake yesterday and found the #1 injector leaking and they looked pretty rough. So now I have BOSCH 4 hole injectors on the way and then things escalated to ordering a Redline Engine Builders big valve head and 268c camshaft, so that should be fun.

The old throttle body is 60mm at the opening and necks down to 55mm. The Supra TB is 60mm all the way through. I will port the intake to 60mm to make it worth the effort. Interestingly, the throttle plate fully opens on this intake, unlike some other 60mm TB’s I’ve read about where the plate hits before porting.

 

Slowly plugging away when I can, getting new parts ready. The list has gotten a little crazy.

 

This was a good time to throw in a CSF 2314 radiator, all metal 16” 3 row core, and a 150 GM amp alternator in place of the 100 amp I had.

 

Very pretty.

 

Hopefully I didn’t miss anything. Going to fire it up soon.

It’s driving! Got the camshaft broke in, struggled with the idle and timing for a couple hours last night, but it drove pretty well this morning. The dash pot on the used throttle body is sticking, so the throttle plate wouldn’t fully close on the test drive. I’ll try driving without it in a little while. Just finished installing a new softopper.

I put in a OEM single stage thermostat but it wasn’t opening until the coolant was 220*. Luckily I also had a dual stage OEM thermostat that fixes temperature spike and that’s what I need. Swapped it in and it only gets to 200* now.

I removed the

$323 CKMA12 On-Board Air Compressor High Performance 12 Volt for Air Locker Differentials and Tire Inflation

CKMA12 compressor to install the twin compressor. It’s fucking huge, so a good mounting location was a challenge. I decided to mount it vertically to the roll cage near the tailgate, with some 3/16” steel bar and U-bolts.

 

Does this thing run anymore?
