There are folks with SR5s or TRD Sports willing to trade if you search around. May be easier/better than painting.

If you can't get lucky to do a swap, I would buy aftermarket replacements, have them painted, and swap with what you have. You could then sell your OEs at your leisure. Painting the stock ones would be more hassle than what it is worth because you will spend a lot of time trying to prep them and still run the risk of paint not sticking properly.

The plastic is textured on the OR’s. I ordered some unpainted bumper caps and was going to color match them to replace my chrome. I ordered a can of paint and everything to do it. When I got the new caps in I realized they were textured just like the fenders. They turned out to be from an SR. Guy I know that looked them up said Toyota didn’t have a good description on them and that the painted to match ones were no longer being sold. So I just decided to leave the black cap s since they matched the flares and it looked in my opinion better anyway afterwards.

Anyways if you want them smoothed like the sport flares, you’ll either need to order sport fender flares or have your current fenders skimcoated which will cost a lot more.

OP, where you located? If you're close I'd swap you mine (if you're looking for BBP that is)

If you look real close, the painted fenders also have a bit of texture to them.
