This. You have to do VAN things now. And we all know what that is.

I’m commissioning a set of ten (10) aliens commemorative stickers to put on my truck so they know I have manners as they pass me on the on ramp. EE0BA73F-6BBB-4F4A-924C-073050B6C24A.jpgAdios.

I realize only now that half of that weapon is made out of a bicycle handlebar. Note the handlebar grip and brake lever off a bike.

Can confirm, never pulled a boat or chicken skin.

Just a little firewood, building materials and all my belongings. Nothing at all really.

I’m currently driving a 2019 SR 2.7L DCSB 4X2 with an automatic transmission. Coming from two previous 3rd Generation Tacoma V6s, I’m okay with the four cylinder. I primarily use my truck to carry my family of four along with baseball equipment, lawn chairs, canopy tent, cooler, and baby stroller. In most instances, we drive the Tacoma to/from the ballpark, grocery store/retail shops, and to visit family. I have yet to tow, and I don’t foresee towing much other than my small utility trailer whenever I need to haul household furniture, miscellaneous items. I have never been off-roading, and I don’t anticipate doing so in the future. Considering my usage, the four cylinder does just fine for me.

The main drawback I’ve found with the four cylinder is the lack of acceleration compared to the V6. The four cylinder is smooth—slow and steady—compared to the quicker, but jerky, V6. Undeniably, the V6 is faster, stronger. In my experience, four cylinder returns more consistent and increased fuel economy. When I traded my last V6 Tacoma, I was getting 15-16 MPG regularly. My four cylinder consistently returns 17-18 MPG. The four cylinder engine runs quieter than the V6, but the four cylinder has a slight ticking noise some may find annoying, worrisome. Having owned several Honda vehicles, I’m accustomed to the ticking sound associated with four cylinders.

My advice is to contemplate how you intend to use the truck and go for multiple test drives. Test drive a four cylinder and V6 back to back on the same roadways, traffic conditions. As far as the financial aspect of your deal, I hesitate to weigh in on that part without looking up values, etc.

I got my 2016 SR 5spd manual with 25k miles on it Certified preowned for that $23500 roughly. That was what bluebook was. I previously owned a 1rst gen 4banger 5spd and loved it too.

Just poor PDI issues from previous dealer all discussed by everyone with 16 by tow package, low trans fluid, dry grease zerks early TSB's crank sensor, wind noise, it would hit 100 + went through the ozarks full load and bumper rack with additional weight, 4 people and at times 80mph. Averaged 17mpg my 19 has yet to give me over 22, the 16 would give 26 @70.

    Too few to list.
Unless it's a manual, I wouldn't even consider the 4 cyl with the auto. In 2016, SR 4x4 manual sold for around $24-26K.
