I really want at least 2.5" in the front and a 2" block or 2" ad a leaf for the rear. I absolutely love the height my truck is at right now. Since the front is a little higher than the back by about 1/2" i wouldn't mind coming down to a 2.5" front lift. If you guys know of any fox or king kits that can get this done for me please send me a link! I would really appreciate it! Ill take your words for it because you guys know a lot more about this than me. Thanks fellas!

    Stuff, things, this, an ADS
Do either Dakars or a new leaf pack or add a leaf. Skip the blocks

To give you a comparison. I am 38 3/4" from the ground to the bottom of the fender and I am on 35" tires. You are sitting over an inch higher than I am and I have my Kings cranked to about 2.75" of lift. Those RC struts have you WAY too high imo

    Agree with JoeCOVA.

Call Down South Motorsports AND Wheelers Off-road for quotes. You should be able to get Kings and new upper control arms for $2000-$2200. Put bilstien 5100 extended travel in the rear to save money.

Not a great photo but here are Kings out of the box with no adjustment, somewhere around 2.5”. Tires are 285/70/17 with no rubbing. The ride is incredible and I’m positive another .5” won’t change that. I do not run a sway bar either. $1450 shipped from Wheelers Off-road. I’m sure non reservoirs can be closer to $1300. The rear is an All-Pro leaf pack with bistiens, which now has 80k miles; started at 4” in the rear and finally settled to 3”. You really don’t need leaf packs like I mentioned before. The UCAs are older DSMs which I’ve put 80k miles on and just rebuilt last week with new Uniballs and bushings. You can get UCAs for $700. Notice the angle of these compared to yours; I can’t stress the importance of this. All of these components are rebuildable and last. Just gotta clean and grease them. Hope this helps.

I just installed the 3" RC kit myself the other day. All torqued down appropriately with 275/70/17 Ko2 with XD grenade wheels 17/8.5/00mm. No rubbing and no issues. Dropped tire pressure down to 45psi and the ride feels just as stock. Not sure what's happening with you fully but instead of the new struts I just used the spacers. Possibly something with the stock coil over the new strut?

Yeah, your coil is not installed properly... it needs to be rotated clockwise an inch or so

It should sit on the bottom saddle like this: see attachment

Hey man, shoot me a message. RC is a get what you pay for deal.

Let’s sit down, chat and figure out a perfect set up for you without breaking the bank but will perform with no issues.

Something inside those struts might be messed up, or something is definitely binding. Without looking at it, it’s hard to say.

But if you would rather ditch it and go with something quality, I’d be happy to help spread some knowledge and get you hooked up.

I have the same issue with my 3" RC life but ONLY when I am turning to the right and hit a bump like going up a drive way or into a parking lot. I thought I might me rubbing but I can't find a rub anywhere. I will check my coilovers.

According to the sticky, you have done everything great OP. Next thing you need to do is get OV-TUNE and start tampering with your ECU and drivetrain to finally kill your new truck dead.

Hopefully some of this will help you undo the damage: *****READ ME****** http://www.bilsteinus.com/fileadmin/user_upload/user_upload_us/pdfs/Bil_LevShks_WebArticle.pdf *****READ ME*****

This should help many of you understand how Suspensions should work and why you want to avoid spacers and blocks at all costs.

    Also: https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/lifted-16-tacomas.392765/page-225#post-14120205

"leveling kits" are industry buzz words designed to sell you trash that will destroy your truck. The Tacoma is "level" from the factory in every literal sense of the word. If you are 'lifting' your truck for looks, and not performance reasons, don't do it. The honest truth is you cannot cut costs on your suspension, and a reason so shallow as 'looks' will guarantee lead you to making a bad decision . The suspension is a "system" in your truck that works in conjunction with all the other major parts, and is arguably the most important 'performance' feature on an 'off-road' vehicle, and should be treated accordingly. READ ALOT, and take your time.

BEWARE of any anecdotal evidence you will get like: "I know John Doe and he has spacer lifts on his truck and hes just fine and drove 1000000000 miles on it." or "If you drive (this way) or (that way) you will be just fine with spacers, because its not "hardcore off roading, just mild" or mental gymastics terms like "for my needs i did spacers" because there is no "need" for a shitty lift over doing a job right. Good luck.
