    a family member just bought a 4-runner and took these type of wheels off with a few hundred miles on them. Are these powder coated or some type of other coating?

    I can have them re-coated to a different color if they are, just trying to figure out if I have to stay with black wheels or if I can change it.

    Pretty sure you can powder coat them any color over the top. I know its a alloy wheel, just not sure on the black coating.

    My friend has done powder coating for quite a while. He mentioned, that if it is powder coating on the wheel, then you can coat over top of it. So just trying to see if someone more knowledgeable than me can confirm
