We had a bad storm in the valley this winter. Problem is all my coworkers know which truck is mine and not only called "Bullshit!" on me calling in that day, but had me go get them.

    Not exactly low profile...

Haha that’s unfortunate! Luckily my coworkers see snow and would rather stay in bed than go in...plus the government is likely closed which means no meetings.

At least you had the presence of mind to lay it down on the non-drive side...

Didn't even think about it. My taco toolbox is on the left side.

I meant the non-drive side of the bike... never lay a bike down on its right side unless it's a single speed or uses an internal gear hub. Laying down on the rear derailleur will cause it to go out of alignment and risks bending the dropout hanger. Replaceable, but will cause cash loss from replacing and bringing the rear derailleur back into spec.

Edit: also, be mindful of how your rotors lay against objects on the left side. They can also be bent if pressed against something.

Oh. I didnt think about that either, I think it was a subconscious thing. How bad is it to put a bike on and off if a factory roof rack? I don't really want a roof rack and I think my bike is too long to fit across my bed with the rocky mount.

I bought one of these. Great for short local trips. If youre packing up for a long one then youd need something else.

I lay down my bike on the drive side all the time. But then again, my deity flat pedals are so enormous, the derailleur lay like 4 inches off the ground.

Crazy man, I learned at like age 12 to always lay on the non drive side. This was likely due to when I first started racing dh in Hawaii we had to get our bikes in a line on the ground to save our place while waiting for the shuttle.

It's not really on purpose, its just I never have an issue with it. Plus in PC, most of the climbing trails are sloped to the drive side and I usually am only taking breaks on the uphill, so yeah...

Yea man especially with pedals and stuff now a days I’m sure it’s not as big of a deal as it used to be where my derailleur would be on the ground. I just did it so much that my dismount naturally is to lay the bike towards the left with my right leg fully extended. It throws me off to lay it down drive side unless it’s a weird spot like you said which normally it doesn’t sit fully on the ground anyway.

Halo Headband — Best $15 you can spend. The yellow rubber interior gutter drains the sweat to the sides of your face. The rest is made of neoprene.

I got some riding done while I was in Mammoth!
    Both road and mountain.

Had my new OneUp dropper post installed, and it was awesome having so much travel on it. Thanks for the recommendation @abacall!

    Here's some photos:

Nice! I have a small Dakine pack that holds a water bottle. Perfect for short rides. I also have the bigger one that holds a bladder. Ive seen the osprey ones at REI and have wondered how the compare
