    The more I stare at the few pics, good job @rdpoe for painting those pinch welds. Looks solid as F.

    Alex, @Bandido, what sports car did you drive me on? MR2 with your mods? That thing was boss aside from me trying to fit. Velcro to the ground and dominating every road it touched, as long as it’s flat.

    With a good launch it does a sub 4s 0-60 and a mid/high 11s 1/4.
    Makes around 300hp 280tq wheel at 16psi.
    Weighs in around 2800lbs wet.
    (for racing I usually run 18-19 PSI and a bottle of 108 in the tank)
    I've put a lot of effort into getting it to handle neutrally with emphasis on braking balance and turn-in.
    The front end still gets a little too light over 120, and my roofs aren't stiff enough to go over 100 with the windows up, or 140 with the windows down...

    Upcoming mods (this winter?):
    Custom hood with KSR vent
    Front ducting
    Front splitter
    Change Power-steering ECU logic or upgrade to 94+ ECU
    ->??also a 2GR swap??<-
    Or sell it and the Harley to get a new A90 supra

    @Bandido

    I’m going to assume you have spring compressors of some sort? The front of my truck is so low compared to the rear.

    I’ll wait till we can find some time to weld, just wanted to see if you have the tools or if i should rent some

    I’m going for easy, breezy.

    I’m not going to adjust them for a bit as I have a “good enough” alignment and will let everything settle in. Prob give it a couple weeks then adjust the front

    AYYYYYY
    Rude.
    But I didn't check caster so its fair I guess. :anonymous:

    And yea we can get it on the rear's level sometime late July.
    If you get impatient tho, renting a compressor is pretty easy n cheap and adjustment is maybe only 1 set screw away from exactly how you think it should be.

    Keep in mind that rear will settle a bit and at least you're not front high. Those rear brake lines look sick AF BTW

    Oh yeah, I expect the rear to settle at least 1/2”. I’ve got the shocks fully softened up and 140lbs of sand bags in the rear to help

    The front still needs to come up, I barely got an inch out of it, meaning after the armor I’m basically back to stock suspension height. A lift wasn’t the only goal of the setup, otherwise I’d have got a lot cheaper, but my CV angles are dead level and I do want some lift.

    I read that a 3rz will bolt right up to the E153 transmission, ergo the 2TR will bolt right up too. I'm looking at a local Mr2 to buy to maybe do a 2TR swap into myself! I have this LCE built motor just waiting to be transplanted...

    2TR doesn't have a great HP/$$ ratio, so there are much better motors to put in the MR2... but theres plenty of example of them making big power, I think really only in drag applications tho, so I imagine those big number motors aren't all that street-able.

    If you have the motor ready to go, it would be interesting... if you go over ~400hp/tq theres a looot of stuff on the car that needs/should be upgraded.

    You can rent the same thing from O'Reilys to use. Better you than me using it too.

    So that’s a thinly veiled “I don’t feel safe using that type of compressor”?

    eh.

    A double action compressor is fine for making on-body adjustments or light compression for a rebuild IMO.

    Similar style single actions are where the danger is at, and I think AZ rents a single action unit thats sketchy af.
    Advanced should rent double action units.

    A proper shop would have a hydraulic single action... these would require you to remove the shock from the vehicle to use however.
    Maybe I'll get/make an attachment for my press in the future?

    Honestly right now I usually just /gohard/ with the spanner. I have done some sketchy shit with HD straps tho when changing springs on my coilovers tho.
