I may play around a bit with those towers. The chassis allows for more compression with the portals not hitting the panhard than the axial chassis did. Got it soldered last night and tuned with castle link this morning. I'm debating on reusing a cheapo RTR servo for dig or grabbing a cheap hitec

I got my Inferno mostly sorted out in terms of the bent chassis. I'm waiting for order to come in, new wheels, chassis protector, tires etc

Just play around the yard with it, hopefully get my son into it.

I gotta look on my comp later for pics. It’s in pieces right now. Hopefully by the time my son is 16, it’ll be finished and his first car.

Look the Horizon Hobby website. They’ve got a good range of prices and uses. They break it down pretty good that way also. Get an idea of what you are looking to pay online. Then see what your local hobby shops have to offer. If it’s just bashing around the yard, likely a Traxxas product. Look for parts availability locally for whatever you choose. Sucks having to wait days/weeks on parts.

I’ve got a mk4 GLI auto to get going for my oldest. Mines the 6speed though.

    Thanks for the info.

    I started off with a mk3 gti vr6, now I have a 62 bug that we’re rebuilding.

Yep. RCGroups.com is another. Something for everybody and they have a lot of expats also.

RCCrawler.com if you want to crawl.

Here’s a few current pics. Got some work done to the UMG, i ran it once so far, did pretty well. And a more recent Honcho picture, it’s about ready to get tore down and rebuilt.

Waiting on shapeways to print and send me a grill and some lenses as well as a hood skeleton. This vs410 chassis is amazingly rigid. I need to figure out mounting and bumpers for it but it's coming along now
