Thinking of using scotchguard on my cloth seats. Anyone have experience with this? How'd it work, and how often does it need re-application?

I used it for awhile. I did it every 6 months or so for 3 applications. No stains or problems in my truck only had to spot shampoo them 2 times for little stains/spills. Just this week gave up on that idea and got some carhartt seat covers though.

I always use it on my cloth seats. Keeps them from staining so easy.

My previous Tacoma came with dealer installed "fabric protection" but my current one didn't, so I treated with Scotchguard. Seems to work pretty well. I've spilled coffee, coke, secret sauce from some fast food sandwich and a few other sundry liquids (I'm kinda messy and eat and drive often) and all just wiped up with a damp cloth. I did three coats in the front and only one in the back as there's seldom people back there. I guess I should retreat as it's been about 7 months.

I scotch guard the seats every six months or so in our van. I think I helps; my three kids are destructi-cons!

Only used on my 8 month old Tacoma once. The gray seats seem to be holding up so far from baseball clay, soccer grass stations etc.

Rust-Oleum makes a really good fabric spray also. I've used that on other things and it worked great. was actually planning on doing my seats soon.

I applied it about 2 months ago. Seems to help. I'll probably hit em again this fall.

I did when it was new, but i'm not liking the side bolster wear and i'm nearly at a 1000 miles after 7 months of ownership. I'm just really picky, but by the knob it shows the fold marks in the fabric as a slight discoloration.

It's likely i'm going to just have another leather up-fit done by Roadwire. Nothing too drastic, black or really dark charcoal with a silver contrast stitch.
