New Texas Taco.

    285/75/17 KO2's, GoRhino Bullbar & Steps
    New Tacoma owner in South Texas.

    Last month, purchased a 2015 Tacoma TRD Sport for my son (1st car) who gets his learners permit this month. But I seriously don’t think I am going to turn over the keys, I am enjoying the truck a lot.

    I replaced the tires with 285.75.17 KO2’s, installed GoRhino bull bar and side step bar. Other minor mods include changing interior lighting to LED. It has a basic lift kit so tires fit good with a slight rub at full turn in reverse.

    I am looking seriously at adding a KBVoodoo bedrock or rails and tent. Setup would be weekend camping at the deer lease, not so much over landing on extended tracks.

    Researching the following for potential build:
    1) Bed rack/rail: need to be compatible with bed cover, support tent, removable
    2) Suspension: increase lift to remove slight rub or trim, add support for tent weight
    3) Differential: currently stock 3.73gears on 285’s, sluggish on acceleration with 11-12mpg (city) Incase to 4.30 possibly 4.56
    4) Headlights: currently slightly cloudy, not very bright - replace units? LED? HID? Other?
    5) LED Lights: add light bar to front, possibly ditch lights and rear pucks, used SPOD?
