    all tore up already
800a OEM Volvo batteries in start stop equipped cars. Not sure who makes them, was interstate years ago. But those 2.0l engines only been out for 4 years max, I've replaced 2 in last 2 months. When I worked in parts store ac delco agm on average lasted 1 year longer than wet batteries. Just not worth it imo unless you are using one of the main benefits which is they are sealed so you can put them in the cab without a special vented box. Not that it's done on Tacoma's which is more reason I dont see 2-3x the value from agm

The last battery I bought from Autozone was $160 for their standard Duralast Gold or $190 for the AGM Platinum version. I'd never do it for 2-3x the price, but for ~10% it seems like a good idea. Oddly, the Autozone warranty is 5 years on the Gold and 3 years on the AGM...

Just as an aside for those looking for power draws, For 'shut off' drain tests, mine draws around 0.03amps, tested at least 10 times over the last month. '17 V6 all stock. The alternator charges at 14v cold, settles at 13.7v warm.

Mods: Is this still a Tacoma?
Ok, so went through this thread and saw just one suggestion...let's here some brands, makes/models and maybe some links? I've had issues since 3,800 miles, I'm at 5,000 with a Jan '18 purchase. Even though it's under warranty, I don't care for crap quality. I'll buy it myself even if they reimburse or not (I'll still try to ding'em, but couldn't care less). Being stranded is embarrassing. I don't have time to walk around a Walmart parking lot with my jumper cables asking for a jump, that's what vagrants, hobos, and serial killers do at Walmart parking lots. I wouldn't even help myself if I was someone else...I could carry a jumper pack, but then again, I have to keep charging that and it won't fix the problem. I've tried tending it once at 3,800 miles when it first died. It came back to life. But now even when it reaches full charge, the crank drops it to 10V or less and it sounds like a 1980 Datsun struggling to breath. Over it.

    Ready. Set.Go.

(Suggestions in the $200 or less range would be optimal). I've got no power hogging add-ons and to me, spending this money beats a dealer visit any day. I hate dealerships. Waste of a day and time. Time is money. Time spent in a Walmart parking lot is Russian-roulette with my life when I start catching attention with an engine that sounds like it's gargling Listerine, then choking on it into a deep sleep.

P.S. I love Walmart, that's where I get my jugs of oil for the best price! So just kidding about being stranded there...maybe.

Just replaced my 2016 stock battery because it was 3 1/2 years old. It was still going fine. I put a 34R-1500 odyssey in mine. Peace of mind is a wonderful thing. Didn't need to go that route, but I like the "overkill".

This was 270.00 delivered with the spacer from Battery Mart.

I just bought one of these rascals at Harbor Freight. By golly it works pretty well. $34.99, but with an online coupon, $25 bucks. So far so good with bringing the Interstate battery in my wife's car back to life after topping off the distilled water.
