Friday thread on a wednesday (hey it's a holiday tomorrow): Why do our "mode" knobs for the temperature control location (i.e. "dashboard only" vs "dashboard and below" vs "defrost" etc) have stop-spots in between the location selects? This bug anyone else? If you have to move a couple spots while driving its annoying to look down to see if you landed on the right one. Minor thing but a silly one that seems so easily fixable.

People using OCD or ADHD as an excuse to explain their strange behavior should also be a Friday thread topic....

Nothing personal, but it seems like a lot of people sure participate quite a bit in things they like to bitch about!

For every person that prefers option A, there will always be someone who prefers option B.

Toyota just tried to appease the masses by giving finer control over the amount of air flow to what vents. If they didn’t then we all know there would be a thread on here asking why we weren’t given “in-between” steps as they don’t want full dash vents, nor 50/50 dash and floor. “Where’s my 75 dash, 25 floor, option!?”

You think so? So are you saying that when the knob is between 'dash only' and 'dash/floor' then it's 75% dash? I just assumed the in between spots do nothing but perhaps i'm wrong.

    Definitely an in-between option.

It always felt that way to me. I had my hand in front of the vents when I changed between the majors and minors and always felt a slight change in air flow....but maybe it was placebo due to me THINKING it should change. I'm about to leave work, I'll go check when I walk outside.

Categorizing your own post as a "Friday-thread" and calling it a "Friday-thread" before all of the TW members can get in and turn it into such a thread should be illegal. Friday-threads are no longer fun.

I like to think we can poke fun at ourselves. At least some of us, anyway.
