i only drive that fast when road conditions are good (which around here they are not for the most part) and plenty of lanes open and no heavy traffic
my truck has always breathed very very well at that speed in sporadic stretches, i.e. i do not set the cruise on 90mph lol

how are the interstate's road conditions there?
its been over a decade since I been around the county but remember them ALL lol
endless hours of cruising when gas was about a buck and a quarter
you drive fast down i170 i usually stayed up north on i270 but had to hit that now and then on weekends

As far as I know 70 is fine and 64 is ok for the most part. Either avoid 255 or maneuver around the potholes it's getting covered with, bad enough that the bars are becoming exposed underneath

sounds like the same bs roads as here on the main part of i80

how about 70 all the way to the arch on MO side?
or 270 to IL? that road i know very well but will avoid 255

Never had any issues with 70 going north, I'd imagine it's good towards the arch. I don't know About 270 really, very rarely on it. 64 is pretty smooth I just hate the damn traffic. I honestly don't care for the interstate too much a lot of times I take the back way most of the time, like whenever I go to visit friends in Georgia I completely avoid the interstate, I'm on 2 lane county/US highways most of the time just adds another 2 hours to the drive which doesn't bother me

those 2 lane highways bother the heck out of me
    most dangerous they are!
gotta trust the oncoming cars and big ass trucks hauling loads to stay on their side or you are dead head on collision at those speeds

That's why I drive through the night lol. Almost no traffic. Only thing I have to watch out for is the occasional deer

Night driving is the way to go. Run some auxiliary lights and the deer run away when they see the sun coming down the road for them.

Unless you get that one stupid deer that's about 20 feet in front of you and they don't move when you honk, I even lurched the truck towards it and it still didn't move lol.Only down side of it is the lack of open gas stations which is why I keep a can or 2 with me whenever I go

I haven’t had that issue since I strapped 20,000 lumens to the front of my Tacoma lol

I usually run with 5-10 extra gallons in the Tacoma on bigger trips. The 38 gallon tank in the tundra has been awesome, 400-500 miles or more before the fuel light comes on with 7-8 gallons left in the tank.
