Have one of those in the back of the truck waiting to be installed. Now that it's on, how do you like it? Complaints about a droning sound seem to be about 50/50.

Installed a DIY Fortin remote start kit. Found the plug n play harness was to busy and a lot of unnecessary wires/connections. So I de-pinned the wires I didn't need and cut out the connections. Tested everything before taping everything back up. Also added rear tailgate inserts, did the light mods by crashnburn80 and derped the chrome emblems. So far I am loving the way this truck is turning out. Now time to save for rock sliders. Also received Meso Customs key fob.

From Cold start it’s pretty loud, after a few seconds it calms down. No droning for now. I like it.

Alright doll-face, c'mon and bore me!
I had the dual MBRP system installed last year. Initially, in addition to being louder, I thought it was a bit buzzy. People here said that it would mellow out over time, and it really did. I liked the tone, but at "cruising speed" (55-65MPH) I found myself looking for a seventh or eighth gear due to the droning.

I contacted MBRP, stressing that I was not complaining about the sound, just wanted to reduce the drone a bit, and they sold me (for a very reasonable price) a "quiet tone" muffler that they said was somewhere in between the current muffler and stock in terms of sound. That was over the winter and it's still sitting in the garage. I think I've just gotten used to the drone.

FWIW, when I first got my Taco, a guy at work (big fan of 70s muscle cars) said that it looked really nice. After I had the MBRP exhaust installed, he told me "I heard you pulling out of the parking lot yesterday... Your truck doesn't just look nice, it SOUNDS nice!". lol

I have been extremely happy with the Gibson exhaust the past couple of years. Has a little better growl than the $200 more expensive TRD exhaust I was going to buy. In my opinion it is not so much of a drone noise but more of a "no cab insulation so you hear every freaking thing outside" noise. I swear you can hear crickets chirping with the doors and windows closed. I don't recall any of my prior Toyota or Ford trucks having such little sound insulation in the cab.

It has Apple car play, I haven't tried it though.
There is app called zlink that gives you Android auto and car play on this headunit.

Suggestion, get yourself some "Reel Pouches" to protect those nice reels.

Putting foam inserts in the air vents on the back wall of the cab had the biggest effect on interior sound deadening for my truck. Sound deadening on the back wall was next, followed by sound deadening the doors. If the road noise bothers you as much as it bothered me.

Foam inserts in the vents? Can you describe a little more or share pics or link?

It's cut up pieces of the foam that you buy to seal off the gap between the windows, when you install a window air conditioner on your house, They sell it at Home Depot, Lowe's Menards, etc.
Also, go to the thread called "Cab Noise" there are some good ideas in there also. I can't take credit for the "foam in the vent" idea. I learned it on this forum, but I can't find that post at the moment.

Is there a particular thread you had in mind?
I scanned a handful with "cab noise" in the title and they all seemed to go like:

"The 2016 Access Cab is noisier than the 2nd Gen."
    "No it isn't."
    "Yes it is."
    "You're crazy."
    "No I'm not."
    "Yes you are."
