I've got one of those sport bars that mount to the rails in the bed (no drilling required). Anyways, I'd like to put in a tonneau cover but cant seem to find one that would work with the sport bar installed. It looks like I might have to take it off entirely to do a tonneau cover. I know Go Rhino advertises a bar that will fit over a tonneau but I really don't want to spend the $900 on their bar.

Anyone have any advice or input?

I'm not familiar with the sport bar, but does it attach to the factory bed rails? Most covers attach via the bed rails, so if it does you may have a conflict, but it also depends where along the track each accessory mounts (i.e if they mount in different locations along the bed rail then you might be able to make it work).

This is the one I have, it mounts in the rails. To mount it, you have to slide the mounting bracket with 3 carriage bolts through the rails, mount the sides of the rack to those bolts, and then mount the top of the rack on the sides.

What's the point of these bars? Similar to a chevy avalanche. Never understood their purpose

I'd like one to secure a tarp to for camping trips. It seems the one the OP has is no longer offered.

    The search continues. . . (I'm picky)
