Had this single loud clunk for a while. Happens when I back up turning to the left, then as I go forwards turning to the right. Recommendations? My only thought is jacking the truck up and checking torque of LCA? For history, about 14 months ago did front wheel bearings, calipers/pads/rotors, and switched out decade old shocks/struts for Bilstein 5100 with stiffer springs for 1.5" lift and needle bearing switch.

    Any help or advice appreciated.

If it started after brakes replacement, I would double check for loose pads. Next would be checking the LCA bushings and torque(100ft/lbs) along with rear leaf pack U-bolt torque(73ft/lbs)

Leaf packs weren't changed, but will check all those torques. Brake pads does not add up to me.

Brake pads make the most sense to me.

When you go forward and step on the brake, the pads want to shift up (they are located rear of front wheel). Going in reverse will make them shift down if there is any slop in the caliper housing.

I hope this makes sense, not good about descriptions.

Is your sway bar hitting anything e.g., coils?

my 2013 with 55K is making a clunk similar to your description. Quired on this forum probably in May, and had lots of responses that match the answer in reply 4. To verify I called my dealership, did not tell them the forum answers but got the same answer from them, plus "it is normal, they all make that noise", pads shift going from a forward to reverse motion, then again going from reverse motion to forward motion. Was going to do some lube work, double the springs that hold the pads in etc, but said to hell with that, truck handles fine, stops fine, it is a wide spread problem and causes no safety issues.

If it's in the front end, check caliper slides/pads, and sway bar end link bushings.

If it's in the rear, check rear sway bar bushings, and brake components like shoe springs.

If it's the pads, moving as mentioned, any reason this only occurs when having up with the wheel cranked L and then forward to the R? Does not occur going back with wheel to R and forward with wheel to L
