From what I understand, the 886 and 887 will net you a similar height. Dakar pack is probably going to cost somewhere between $400-500.

https://www.headstrongoffroad.com/s...akar_Leaf_Packs_(PAIR)_-_ONLY_LEAF_PACKS.html <-- Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road is awesome to work with. Their website says that they are moving right now, but she is awesome to deal with and may be able to help out with the price a little.

https://www.4wheelparts.com/p/arb-o...ogle_1751565291_68431452157__pla-670066724636 - 4WP is another option since you can have them shipped to store for free. Shipping is usually what kills it.

https://www.amazon.com/EL095R-Old-Man-Emu-Lifted/dp/B074KGHXRC - Then, of course, is the good ol' Amazon.

You also need to decide if you want the medium or heavy duty springs. The difference is that the HD springs already have the AAL installed. If you're happy with the way the rear of the truck is currently, I'd probably go with the medium pack. If you plan to add to it (shell, RTT, etc.) then I would strongly consider the HD.

You likely need to get longer U-bolts to install them. I opted for the U-bolt flip kit. It was a few bucks more, but eliminates a point of hangup below the axle.

Unless something changed when they redesigned the leaf pack, you'll also need to purchase new bushings. OEM rubber bushings work fine and can be had for around $20. ARB (OME) and Energy Suspension also make poly bushings. I think they are a little bit more expensive, but the Energy suspension ones are graphite impregnated (if you get the black ones). I recently purchased the AAL for my dakar pack along with the extended center pin/bolt and will likely replace the bushings while I'm at it. If I do, I'm going to go with the Energy Suspension ones. I made that decision because they come with a new bushing for the shackle as opposed to just the leaf pack, they are graphite impregnated so they should not cause squeaking, and are less expensive than the ARB ones.

All Dakar leaf packs will squeak at some point. Some more than others. Mine will usually squeak for like a week or two during season changes (i.e. if it's been really hot and all of a sudden a cold front comes through, my rear suspension squeaks. The same is true for when cold suddenly gets hot). Dirty springs will squeak too. That's just a forewarning so that you know what to expect. I was pissed that I "upgraded" my suspension only to have it sound like a rusted out early 90s Suburban with every bump that I hit. Over time, the squeak on mine has almost completely stopped. There is an entire thread on the problem. Some say it is where the leafs make contact on the older design, but the new packs have isolators and still squeak. Some say it is the front bushing. Keeping them clean seems to be the biggest factor in stopping the squeak.

Haven't seen you drive your truck in person, but I've seen the videos you've posted here and on insta

Awesome information man!! Im going to comb through this later and see what I can come up with. Ill more than likely go with the medium duty, as i have no plans on adding anything else in the rear. The medium will give me the height i am wanting correct? As far as the u bolts, i have a flip kit waiting to be installed, so we should be good there. Ive gotten hung up a few times on them already.

Ah, great point, forgot about that:rofl:

No added weight, the description says that a 2nd gen should get 2" lift. The HD nets 2.75" over factory. You can always convert the medium to HD if something changes, or vice versa.

IIRC, the medium pack increases the amount that you can hold in the bed by either 10 or 15%. The HD is an equal bump (10 or 15%) above that.

Did my CMC today, wrote a quick howto in 3rd gen:
I also tweaked the fuel cap holder design some. Here's version 2.

I need to do some research into the best way to smooth out prints. I spent like 30 seconds sanding this, but that's tedious.

I’m late to the party, but I don’t recall the remix being a hybrid boat. Thought it was a creek boat, no?

I'm assuming everything with a drop down fin that will do ww and also track on flat water is in the hybrid catagory.

I’d agree to that assumption. By the time I chimed in the listing gas already been deleted. My comment was based off of old knowledge of the remix model boat by name.

After looking at the LL site, I was reminded that the remix is actually a river runner. Not a creeker. I was wrong. My bad.
