2A51E786-F96E-4DB9-886A-D1F2FD8E3921.jpg So I made the jump from a 2013 F150 to a new 2019 Tacoma Off Road TRD. I could not be happier. I am getting almost 8-10 MPG better than that old 5.0 on the F150 and the Tacoma can almost tow as much as the Ford was rated for. Got it with the steps, and roof rack for $35,000 out the door! What astonished me was after looking at a new F150 or Silverado that would have cost $4,000 or more new, after a year they are worth $3,000 less than the Tacoma will be.

$35k “out the door” for a TRD 4x4 is a killer deal!

Resale on Tacoma’s is incredible. Jeep Wrangler as well, but now that FCA is spitting them out like widgets and shoving them down dealers throats I can see resale values dropping.

Ya bro and before you go to the dealership with little “problems or bugs” come here first. 9/10 you’ll find it’s something simple you can fix yourself.

Examples that kept me from dealership waiting

Airbag light on passenger seat engaged without passenger. Came here. Dude said what’s on the passenger seat. I said lunch chest and clip board. He said take them off. Light problem fixed. It was reading a passenger was there due to weight.

Chain sound when driving over bumps.
Ppl here suggested it was spare tire chain underneath hit spare tire rim. Wrapped it up noise gone and no trips to dealership.
A lot of ppl here will really help you out

Congrats and welcome. This truck is a billy goat even with stock equipment but caution..although you will learn lots about the platform and all the mods available, it can be a very expensive hobby. Everything from MESO LED map lights, to long travel suspension and OVT forced induction kits & everything in between. TW members are generally a very friendly and knowledgeable community.
