I don't know about the rest the TW members, but I'm getting that hunting itch that fishing isn't satisfying anymore... Anyone taking work off on the first (weds.) for the start?

I am considering it. I have the 3rd off work already, so I may just wait. I am more interested in the quail, pheasant season opener.

I'm very excited for dove and duck season even though my dove farm that I had exclusive hunting rights has been sold and now I have to find another honey hole.:(
On a side note, my varmint rifle is almost finished and I'm looking forward to getting some coyote/varmint hunting in as well.

I'm getting all excited about coyote hunting. I got this good size male last year. You have to be extra QUIET when coyote hunting. This year I get to quietly reach in the back of my truck instead of opening the hatch on my 4Runner. Can't wait.

I am looking forward to bird hunting too. Have never been so it will be a whole new experience. I might not make it this season but next year for sure! I am pretty sure I will be the oldest guy in my hunter safety class. Gotta start sometime I guess.
