Nice Man, how do you like the clazzios? I was in between those and katzskins. Went katz due to a local installer on the forum offering discounts.

    It's complicated.
    Nice build!

I just ordered a Blackvue 900S dual channel camera system, to add to my new Tacoma, and see that you also have one installed. Are you running it upside down, and then changing the orientation in the software? From looking at photos of the camera orientation, it looks like it needs to be installed a different way.

I'd like to install mine on the right side of the mirror, but with the lens at one end of the tube, I'm confused on how it's supposed to be oriented. Also, is that the stock mount that comes with the camera?

    Thanks.

Hey, mine is right side up with the lens on the left of the tube but I’m also running a older 5900 dual channel at the moment. The mount was one I found on shapeways so I could mount the camera to the go pro mount the truck came with. Regular mount works great, I just wanted to use the mount that was already there. So far it’s been really solid, my wife has a 900 in her car and with the headunit / built in WiFi I might end up doing a 900 down the road, but also saving up for powder coat for s new bumper and bed rack as well as a winch. So new head unit came in. The 2 plugs and two antenna plugs do not connect. 2 atennas are replaced with new ones and original plugs not connected haven’t seem to lose any functionality except navigation and songs on the cluster. Wireless car play works. Big problem is no mounting screws work right now so I’m on my way to Home Depot to pick new ones and get this mounted in. Only thing holding it in last picture is the trim

I’ll try and mark it but 5nahalf is the pioneer here. So far
Remove dash trim and take out the 4 10mm bolts

After that disconnect everything until the radio looks like this. From there you will plug everything in except these wires

Now plug everything in. Cables you should have are these.one is main wiring harness and the other is USB cord.

RIN AND Lin are aux I believe. The you need to test the reverse camera as there are two rcas labeled and only one works. That plugs back into the wiring harness.usb goes to the usb wire that plugs into brown usb harness.

Then plug the gps and 4g antenna in. I put these under the dash like
@5nahalf suggested. I’ll update after I do mounting brackets but these are measurements from scosche kit

Right now I am going to take off half inch and see where I am at so I’ll update it later tonight. It’s over 100 out right now. Wireless Apple play does work. You hook up Bluetooth and then WiFi between the two and click z link
    Next update, cuts made

I have been thinking about it, I want to spend more time messing with it. Originally had a plan to use a hotspot for internet u til I learned that with Apple car play I the WiFi shuts off. Now looking into a SIM card but they all seem to be nanos. Basically I need to mess with a bunch of the settings still and look into what bands work best with these to find best service line for a data line. Work in process I suppose lol

You can get a adapter to go from nano to normal sized, then you can test with your phone sim card to see if it works on your network. Check your local phone store, Im sure they would give you one for free.

I was seriously eyeing a Quicksand, I didn't realize how incredibly amazing the inferno looked! Whenever I sell my 4bt Cummins I'm dropping coin on a inferno! Amazing build, she looks incredible man.

Lol, you went all the way to Freman Toyota in Northern California? That is where I got my 2017 and my father-in-laws 2018. They have some good prices.

Did indeed. Brother lives in CA so flew over got the truck and went through the redwoods down through the city then out to see my brother and back home. Basically the best I could get in AZ was 36 for a sport and freeman offered me 31 for a off-road so I took it. Figured fun 1k road trip. Visit family and get some sushi as well as save 5k was worth it

Thanks man, I really liked quicksand but wife vetoed that. It was down to blazing blue, silver, and inferno. Wife was on inferno, I was on blue, and silver was a idea for a fun build. Glad she won that in hindsight. I really like the color with blackout styling.

You got 31k for an off-road?! I paid $29.9k for an SR5. Makes me wonder
