Opened up with “Late night philosophers” who did cocktail and ceremony. The head guy of their two man crew has been here with another band and I love the man. Lots of bands or djs fight me on noise, this guy gets it and does a great job music and sound wise. Always happy to see them.

Right now for dinner and dancing is “grand central station band”. So far so good, haven’t seen them before but are doing a good job!

Both Albany area bands, the couple tonight owns a few places in Albany.

Now some food!! Edit: only menu seems to be loading will try again later

Storming again here, it wont quit! Except for ceremony and bringing dinner inside, we got SUPER lucky and were able to do both in well timed rain breaks. Shout out to DarkSky.

I am now out 3 hours early, the caterers and wedding planner are doing all of our work. The wife and manager are there until close, but I think my wife will end up back a little early too. Usually we are here working behind the scenes with vendors, cleaning bathrooms, starting a fire etc... But they do all that for us this wedding! It's nice, but strange.

Here is the food I promised.

    Wow,
Great logistics come from experience, and the caterers clearly have their shit together.
    I'm jonesing for Mussels now.

Yeah these guys are good. The man who runs it has a background in theater (as well as the food) and he likes to put on a "show" and try to stay true to a certain time period. You can see in the photos that they all wear old timey clothes and hats. It might sound a little corny if you don't see it, but they really do a great job and they really pull it off, they are happy to chat and explain how they are cooking everything too, so your guests can really enjoy the whole experience. Some of the hats and accessory pieces the guys and girls have are really cool and their service level is top notch.

Also, about having their stuff together, I've really noticed that caterers that have a full time staff and don't rely on temps are really a level up. The problem is that you have to be busy enough to keep people working all season for that. It's sort of like an entry level position that requires 5 years experience. It's tough, but we've personally witnessed 2 caterers come up from their first season (as well as our own) and really step things up within the last 2-3 years. It takes a lot of work and hustle though, and you can see who is worn out, and who still loves it pretty easily.

yeah I have an onkyo receiver and a nice 5.1 system with a 10" powered sub cube...
Funny thing about the subwoofer...It's the christmas present i bought for "us" for our first chrismas in the house...Wife was all excited to see what was in the big heavy box...needless to say it's still a sore subject..jokingly...today...however I do like to point out that when the sub is not on she immediately notices :)

I've got a fun little spot Off the beaten path if you want to toss some line one morning. It's in NH but is a bit of a trip. Is 91 all that far from you?

Takes me about 10 mins to get onto 91. I take 91 well into VT when I go to Maine, I think exit 126

Was walking the dogs about two hours ago and just had shorts and a t-shirt, was chilly. Nice change of pace, but doesn't seem like it will last too long. Although I think the dampness has moved on.
