Yup. I cleaned that thing for about 20 minutes a few weeks back. When I pulled it out it still had about 30% blockage. I need to figure out a way to spray behind the ac condenser thing. I tried spraying from the fan side until the water ran clear but I still missed a lot.

I don't think all TRD OR comes with trans coolers and not all tacoma's come with the oil cooler both I think are tow package additions.

Mines a trd off road but didnt have the tow pack from the factory. Which is bigger alternator, trans / oil cooler and of course a hitch.

Yeah I don't know I go to the spray and wash with my grille out or to my folks place and use their pressure washer with the widest spread nozzle and spray for like 20 mins going both directions. I am going to upgrade mine. I really need to. My temps aren't bad at all but just for piece of mind. Also look into getting the lower rated thermostat from URD it may help you some too.

I've seen mixed reviews on that thermostat. I'm pretty happy with the way it is now. I may add a second trans cooler if I still have that itch to go to 37s.

I don't have a locker but I got all that other fancy gizmo stuff :D

Get a sandwich plate for the oil filter area and put an aftermarket cooler on. I am going to add one to mine since the factory oil cooler is a little lets just say not that desirable. Also going to get a small cooler for the PS. The amount that I cook my PS it needs a cooler of sorts.

What size trans cooler do you have now or just the one in the rad? I haven't seen anything bad on that thermostat???

You have a link for the oil cooler? The factory one is like $500.

I'm pretty sure mines a unicorn. At the time I thought tow package was just the hitch so no biggie i just bought a hitch for it. They gave me like 4k$ off the sticker price and the other dealer in my area wouldn't budge on price.

    I have this one.

In the radiator thread a few guys said the 160 thermostat wasnt opening until 180. It gets cold AF here in winter so dont think I want the 160 anyway. I did put in a new factory thermostat while I was in there just to eliminate that as a contributing factor. The one I took out looked basically new but it's cheap insurance I guess. Amazon had them cheap

You need one of these. Then buy some fittings to go in the inlet and outlet and run to any old oil cooler of your choice. can probably be done with AN lines and fittings and cooler for around 200 bucks or so and it'll be better than factory which is a joke anyways.

I have pretty much the same trans cooler. It's daisy chained in with the additional one with the tow package and the one in the rad. My trans temps are perfect. Just the more cooling you can add to other systems the less strain there is on the radiator and cooling the engine.

Those routes I posted I kinda put together from a few years of watching MS overland and a few other insta and youtube accounts. Most people never give away locations but you could tell what towns they were in. I would then search google earth for backroads around the area then Google the names of the roads and see what I come up with. I'm really excited about tub run. That looks like it's going to be fun and finding information on it has been hard! Hell it maybe closed but I'm going to find out. Wildlife road was completely washed out and impassable last year so hopefully it's still fun.

Let me see what I can arrange at work. Its my birthday on the 30th of July and I have that off, and July 27/28 is Toyota Takeover in Pennsylvania.

Also im waiting to hear back from an interview that i had last week. So more than a weekend off is hard to do
