What Have You Done To Your 3rd Gen Today?

I bought it of eBay for $80, real easy to install man!

 

I know this is an old post here but did you do an aal in the rear or a block?

Finally got the suspension put on, thanks in part to a great friend of mine @brodgers that did most of the wrenching. Looks great and rides so much better than stock. Specs are as follows: Bilstein 5100's all around. Stock coils set on highest setting on front, and Deaver AAL at the rear. 37 1/2" front with TRD aluminum skid plate, and 37 3/4" rear with just a tool box in the bed. And she's riding on 265/70/17 Cooper ST Maxx's. I'm quite satisfied that I got the 2" of lift that I paid for and am definitely satisfied with the results.

 

I thought about loading two bikes but hooked the trailer on for simplicity. How’d that work? What did you do for a central tie point between the bikes?

I got one New when I graduated high school. I miss that truck.

Had a little time and a new can of Plasti Dip
Rear bumper caps are next. Gonna need another can

 

Will TRD PRO Caps fit on those wheels?

 

Nice job. From my experience with other projects, it’s better to do plenty of light coats instead of just a couple of heavy ones. I’ve screwed up with plasti-dip before.

 

Not sure how he does it, but we just use four tie-downs total. One from the bedside to the nearest outside handle bar then the second one from the bedside then between the fender and the tire and on the opposite bike’s inside handrail. So basically each bike has one tiedown from the nearest bed side and one from the farther bedside.

 

Killed some bugs

 

Coats 1 - was really light
2-3 pretty light then I got worried they were too light and 4-5 got heavier. I watched 1 YouTube video and decided to give it a whirl.

The caps will be more of a challenge. Not looking forward to removing them. Not sure if I’ll be happy with just taping them.
