I assumed based on your drive you just wanted to get to Prairie Du Chien as quickly as possible. Lol

Soo, without looking back through the last 3 pages, is there a set meeting time/place?

9:00 Prairie Du Chien. Cabela’s probably would be a good spot to meet. It’s on the north side of town and given the amount of people that we have coming I don’t think a gas station would work too well. Lol

This is a bit south of there, but would be a cool spot for a group photo. Could meet there. There's no admission fee I'm aware of

    Potosi Recreational Area
    221 S Main St, Potosi, WI 53820
    https://maps.app.goo.gl/A1pCkeZ7CMYP5RMu8

    Otherwise I'm good with Cabelas

Here's a picture from when I stopped there 2 weeks ago

EDIT: after looking at the picture again, I really think it would be cool to meet here.

Plus, this is very close to the area on dugout road where everyone takes pictures.

This is what I got. I didn't know about the ham until after I ordered this. I'm just hoping it's sufficient.

What are the advantages of ham radio, @Shellshock ?

    Compared to CB:
    Much more Range
    Better Voice Quality
Many more channels to use, less likely to overlap or get interference
Can utilize repeaters for even greater range
Longer battery life in mobile units

This setup is more than sufficient for most people’s uses. You can get a few miles range even with obstruction.

At some point I’d recommend getting the tech license, it’s super easy and good for 10 years. 35 multiple choice questions. The exam prep is basically the bank of questions for you to study / memorize.
