Hey guys any of you have a black stone or camp chef? I'm looking into which ones the best for camping. Any input is appreciated.

Exo Mtn Gear. Probably one of the best hunting packs you can get. The new K3 will be released soon. Expensive, but worth it.

I have a Blackstone and freaking love it. One of the best camping upgrades I’ve done. It’s definitely made cooking a lot more fun on trips. Not to mention, I use mine at home sometimes.

You just have the single burner or double?

I have the double burner, 22”. There are times when I could get away with only having the single, but the double has definitely come in handy. For our Cinco de Mayo camping trip, I cooked like 12 pounds of 4 different taco meats for a big group of us.

Plus having the double burner allows you to be cooking two different parts of a meal at the same time which is nice.

Camping and wheeling in Utah a couple weeks back. Phoenix to Monument Valley to Moab to Arches to Cedar Breaks monument to Zion then back to Phoenix. 5 days. The latest gear did very well on the trail and at camp. The Alu-Boxes did very well for gear storage and security as well as quick bench seats to make lunch at the tailgate and as a perfect step stool to get up on the tailgate to deploy the tent.

    Gear loaded and secure:

It appears that when I hit the skid plate on a rock ledge, my bed rack flexed just enough that one of my extinguisher mount clamps punched it. The head of that hose clamp was pointed in towards the window

I'm looking to mount a 270 degree awning onto the bedrack in my 5' bed Tacoma 2018 DC. I'm just at the shopping stage right now.
Can anyone tell me about the 270 degree awning they use? Here is an example of what I'm looking for.

    Thanks

Alu-Cab. No dropdown legs needed in even moderate winds. Durable, reflective, and easy to use. Super fast <30 sec deploy, and <1min stow time.

The kinsmen hardware 270 awning looks amazing too. Made in America, but very pricey also.

It is very nice. I recently ran into another member from here and he had the awning deployed. It was stout! He had a hammock attached to it. Wonder if the ARB room could be attached somehow. Pros/Cons to every option.

Definitely lighter than other non-legged 270 awnings. I question the pop-ups on each arm and that it looks like it greats a bowl in the middle that may catch rain? Hard to tell from the pics. I wonder how strong that frame is for the price versus the Alu-Cab solid arms or other models that don't require drop-down legs. I love my Alu-Cab and it was less $$ but it's a good 80 lbs

The kinsmen hardware is sturdy! As @ETAV8R mentioned earlier, the arms are strong enough to actually support a hammock and a guy laying in it! I feel the pop-ups for each arm are actually for deterrence of rain. But who knows.
