So I am trying to return my truck to as stock as possible. I installed a MBRP 409 SS catback exhaust a while back, and I want to do the following:

Meet someone with a TRD Off Road or TRD Sport stock exhaust who wants to upgrade to something meatier. We make an appointment at a local muffler shop. The one I use is Muffler King in Kirkland. Great prices and no BS advice. They take the exhaust off your truck, put it on mine, and take mine and put it on yours. We wait while they do this. No extra cash to me, but you would be responsible for the cost of the swapping (probably 250 or so). My system, which includes a welded in Magnaflow resonator to cut drone, was around 550-600 for the parts. Here's a link to a video I posted earlier so you can hear what it sounds like. PS, I have a stickshift shortbed doublecab:

Thanks to @Bertw192 , I have a stock exhaust sitting in my crawl space. I also have Bert's exhaust hanger tool to do the swap. Definitely no shop needed.

I'm rocking an axle dump on my stock exhaust. I like the slight sound bump and clearance.

From what I read, the MBRP is pretty loud? What's your take on it?

How much did it change your sound? I've got mine cut off after the axle when it turns back down and I didnt notice any change with the 4.0

If you ever make it down to Portland I have stock exhaust in my basement. I can pull and swap an exhaust in about 30 mins. I'd be willing to trade you, and do the work.

I get a bit more sound with the slider open, which to this point (haha!) stopped me from thinking about a cat back. There is a slight reverb at 1,500rpm.

I made some vids a while back with the slider open (sorry about portrait mode):

No before with the slider open.

There is a good bit of whoosh when heavy on the pedal in the upper revs.
