    Hey guys,

Recently I had to do a CV swap and after getting everything back together, the stock UCA was touching the tire on my passenger's side. I'm assuming due to my bad UBJ. Anyhow, I was looking at replacing the UBJ versus UCA and it seems like the UCA is a mch easier job. My Taco has a 3" spacer lift, I was wondering if aftermarket UCAs are as much of a necessity as everyone says they are. I've been running the same set up on 285/70/R17 for around 90K and never noticed much of an issue besides the obvious bit of rubbing on the stock UCA's. She's not doing any serious wheeling, just trying to get her back to a reliable daily.

The same shit everyone else has.
If you’re happy with your alignment numbers and how the truck drives. Keep the oem ones.

If not, ditch em for adjustables.

I found a guy selling a set of OEM on ebay with only 3K on them for $49.99, I'd have to be an idiot not to hop on that lol

Because your tire rubbing is totally normal. After market uca’s usually have a required backspace for the wheel used.

That's what I've been seeing upon research. I'm on stock wheels so that is a factor keeping me leaning towards OEM or Moog.

You could put a wheel spacer after replacing ball joints. That tire on a factory wheel is always gonna be close to the uca.

I've had quarter inch spacer on them since I put the lift on 90K ago and that helped. Just hoping the UCA will fix the issue
