    Does Tacoma's have a Trailer mode? i have a 01 4Runner and 08 Tundra and both have a either a ECT or trailer mode switch.

    My 2015 doesn't but 2016 and up has the ECT

    Yes, Tacoma doesn't call it trailer mode but putting the trans in S mode and engaging ECT provides the same effect as what some vehicles call trailer mode. On a Taco that means higher shift points and if needed keeping the trans out of 5th or 6th gear. Unlike the Tundra tow mode, I don't think ECT mode increases egine braking by automatically downshifting. Of course you can accomplish the same thing by downshifting in S mode. Also, obviously, unlike desiel trucks, there's no change in exhaust valving for braking.
