    Hello all,

    New to the forum but have a first generation Tacoma that will be loaning to my son when he reaches 16 years of age. I say loaning because I am not sure yet that he appreciates it as much as me and I may need to ask for it back when / if he gets ready to move onto something different.

    We have five years before he can drive so we are getting ready for some upgrades before he takes the reins.
    • New wheels and tires (he prefers the popular black rims)
    • New Stereo with backup camera (currently looking at one of the Pioneer units)
    • White Camper shell (my bad, should of picked up one of these last century when I bought it)
    • key fab for door locks (unfortunately I purchased the most basic unit and he is used to his mom's SUV)
    • New seats or seat covers
    Other than that, she is great and if I had to do it all over again, I would have purchased the same truck. Truly the most dependable versatile and economical vehicle I have owned.

    Anyway, I look forward to reading your all's posts and gleaning any advice / information that I can. Not sure I can provide any valuable feedback but will give it the old college try if I find an opportunity.
