I love my 2018 Tacoma. I have notice an issue that is causing me concern. When I drive, I have a habit of tucking my left leg up and kind of under my right leg. It's habit and comfortable. The problem is that I've started to wear down the carpet to the left of the right seat bolt.

Is anybody aware of anything I can attach to the bolts of the seats and then tuck under the floor mat to eliminate this issue so my foot would rest on that rather than on the carpet? (yes... yes... I know -- don't put my leg there. I've tried. I'm an old man and remember that old dog / new trick thingy?)

    Thanks.

Do you have floor mats? If not, some husky or weather tech might be the solution.

I concur. Cut the offending leg off.

A little extreme, but I like the commitment.

I have the Tacoma mats and was thinking of something that could kind of go btw the two seat bolts and then tuck under the mat -- mat like or something. I know that by next year (unless I cut it off) I will have worn a hole through the carpet with winter boots.

you need 2 things, 1 some gray automotive carpet from your favorite auto parts place, 2 some velcro (the hook side). cut carpet to shape that will cover the offending area, put glue adhere (guess you might need glue or whatever) velcro to carpet. then put in place.. doesn't stand out and will protect from your evil left foot.. when this wears out do it again :)

Make one from a parts house generic rear floor mat. They are often kind of square.

Cut it down to fit the space. Be sure to use mat clips to attach it to the carpet so it can't move in an emergency and get jammed up under your feet or pedals.

Another option is to trade it in for a manual. That will retrain your leg. :D

Yeah, I think the best option is to get some all-weather tougher mats (Weathertech, Husky, or even OEM).

I wear holes in all my carpet mats, given enough time.
