Bought this truck for my wife and I only transportation. Wife and I are 82 and 83 respectively. We both love the truck, it is comfortable for us and very useful. Only issue is we wish it was couple of inches lower, making mount and dismount easier and safer. We are both having difficulty getting in and out. Has anyone had experience with installing a lowering kit? Did it work satisfactorily? And do you recommend lowering? Thank you for any input.

Are you still in a 1997 like your profile says? If so, the mods can move, you may get better, or more precise information in the correct forum.
Above is a good place to start though, running boards are lower, without lowering the whole truck.

Edit; NM I saw title says 2018, duh

They do make them but good luck finding somebody with one. They’re pretty rare

    Welcome to the forum.

My wife and I are 64 and 65. I admit that I have thought about lowering my truck but haven't.

What I did do was install running boards. Admittedly it took me a while to figure out the best way to use 'em, and get into the habit of using them.

Now that I'm used to the running boards, lowering has fell way to the bottom of my list.

To me lowering a truck is akin to castrating it. If you have step up issues get running boards like in
    Tullies pic above.
