LOL. My original "issue" was if the wires ever got hit by sticks/whatever while off-roading. I could have sworn i had a green driver side rear wire but i suppose i was mistaken as it's pink today. My thought was that maybe something on the wire surface/environment caused the wire to change from green to pink. Think of a red wire changing to pink or white due to sun exposure. But my truck is only 2 months old so i cannot see that happening. it was probably pink since day one but the only way to tell is see a brand new one off the lot.

How many beers did you drink prior to looking under the truck?

don't think the color has anything to do with it getting snagged. if stuff is getting above the axle at that point, you have other issues. try zip ties maybe?

Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
Exactly. OP wants to know how to keep it from being snagged on sticks but goes off on a pink vs green color tangent. For Pete's sake.

just an update for the color question. new ones on the lots- 2019's- are pink drivers side, like mine. I saw the green in online videos/pics for older tacos, even 3rd gens, and got mixed up. They changed the colors of the wires sometime between 2016 and 2019 from green to pink.

and yes, i was just concerned more about a twig/branch flinging up off the gravel mountain road i travel- it's private and about 1/2 mile long- and lightly traveled- and affecting the wires. I am usually going up there at 11pm in the dark after the 4 hour drive and tired..... I am pretty good about stopping and having the girlfriend hop out and move a branch if one is in the way, but sometimes you miss seeing the smaller ones or don't think the smaller ones will cause an issue...

just asking if any of you who wheel your truck have experienced anything like that.
