Should I sell or discard these tires?

I’m getting new tires soon and I’m wondering if I should just discard these or is there a chance I’d be able to sell them? I’m not advertising them for sale here...I’m jw if anyone thinks they’re sellable. They’re the stock tire that came with my sport. Thanks!!

 

Discard. Not worth the hassle

 

You could offer for free.. someone might want/need a spare.

 

If it were me, I would post them as free pickup. Certainly worth something to someone that has a bald tire and needs something to get along til they can afford to buy tires. I always hate tossing something that has at least a little life left in it

 

Exactly. The only issue you might have with this is if no one takes them, then you're faced with disposal.

 

I’ve personally never had a problem giving away things on CL air Facebook. I do realize that’s the one pitfall

 

Seriously....just have the tire shop dispose of them when you get your new tires installed. Less time less bullshit....don't over think it.

 

Give them away for free. I’ve done this before if any tread is left. Mostly someone who is in need comes to pick them up and I’m glad I could help out in the end.

 

Thanks for the input guys. I’m gonna post them for free on Craigslist a couple days before I get the new tires installed...if no one bites I’ll just have the shop dispose them.

 

Give them away to someone in need. This reminds me when I started out as a family man and had to buy used tires. I had squat. No credit etc. How we live today is very comfortable, not so much in the 70s and 80s

 

Agree... doesn't look like enough meat for much, but sometimes people just need something to get by. I have seen used in this shape offered.

 

Trash them.

 

Most places charge a fee to dispose of old tires whenever they install a new set. Giving them away for free saves you from the disposal fee.

 

Some times the shop will give them to someone in need. I think you are doing the right thing
