Do BP-51 Preload Adjustments Need Alignment? Also Spanner Wrench?

Searched. Couldn't find the direct answer. I am removing my BP-51 and adjusting the factory set preload from 20mm to 0mm. Substantial I know. I have a Reg Cab 4 Cyl with no added front weight and the ride is like a brick wagon at the 20mm preload adjustment, with frequent topping out. Question is, does adjusting the preload affect the alignment at all? I might need to remove them a couple of times to get it how I want it, and would hope that preload adjustments wouldn't affect the alignment, but I'm not sure.

Also, is there a specific spanner wrench that I can get to use for the preload collar? I know the compression/rebound spanner wrench that comes with them kind of fit (tip not round & wrong arc), but it's not proper.

Any time you change ride height, it changes the alignment.

OK. Once I get the preload dialed in like I want it, I will get it re-aligned. Just don't want to keep doing alignments as they can get expensive. But tires aren't cheap either!
