I would like to be on the list, still trying to educate myself. Don't want to mess up a good thing.

I recommend the Roush tensioner for an 05-15 (I believe it was up to 2015) Mustang and if you are going to want a larger supercharger crank pulley you are going to need to get a dual bearing roller from LFP. The 50mm pulley made for a Camaro ZL1.

What do you need the "dual bearing roller from LFP" for ? I am trying to educate myself as well.

You need it if you want to run this oversized overdrive billet supercharger crank drive pulley. It is approximately .179 (from what I remember) over the OE pulley size.

If you choose to cut that corner and run the OE Idler there is a HIGH chance of interference between the crank drive pulley and the idler. That's how tight the clearance in there is, so this is a necessary evil.

aaahh gotcha, makes sense. Thanks for the clarification. do you know what the ballpark price is on the dual bearing roller and roush tensioner is ? I'm trying to get an "all-in" figure on what doing this is going to run me.

Maybe about $200.. it will be highly worth it. That much I can assure you. No more broken tensioners and more boost once you get this pulley! ;)

does the OEM fan clutch or radiator shroud need to be removed to gain access to the crank pulley, or will taking off the lower skid likely give us enough room for install?

Depends on you really and what tools you have. I can remove my pulley bolt with a compact 1/2" impact gun. Off and on in less than 20 minutes.

I have a 3rd gen TRD skid on my truck so that makes everything a pita. I do have an impact though, so sounds like this could be a pretty easy swap

You have to position the fan in such a way where it allows easier insertion of the gun and a short 24mm socket.

I have a BAMF 1/4 HD skid so it shouldnt be any worse than yours.

Copy that, thanks for the heads up. Will need to get a 24mm short socket

To be honest I wouldn’t be surprised if it was the sump running dry with continuous high rpm load. It happens all the time to my car at the track - all the oil gets pumped into the heads at high rpm and doesn’t have a chance to run back down to the sump.

Ahh. It is a standard M8 x 1.25 x 30mm that will fit just nicely in there. I used a standard bolt that was utilized in my old factory tube steps which fit in there awesome to compensate for the new height the dual bearing roller creates. Now I have not run the Roush tensioner so I am not sure if the bolt size will be the same but I am willing to bet it is.
