Something caught your key as you were driving. Doesn't take big mounds or rocks for soneone to bounce or swing around. Maybe caught on the key fob or somethig attached to the key fob etc. Just one of those things. You'd probably never be able to replicate it no matter how hard you tried.

I've accidentally bumped my knee into the key before and it bent *SLIGHTLY*. It didn't look anything like that though, you must have really rammed it good.

i was able to bend mine back into shape. Not sure you will have such luck.

If there is enough force to bend the key like that, I would believe that the steering wheel ignition lock would be damaged in some way. This would in turn cause the steering wheel to bind in one direction because of the lock. Just a thought. I've never seen that in my entire life though, and I've worked on thousands of cars lol

What! How dare you sir! How dare you proclaim there might be a tad sexism among the male camaraderie here! I can assure you sir they have all (well at least most) have had girlfriends! They most assuredly treat the women folk as they do their own Virgin Mothers!

I am aghast and deeply offended by your charges sir! You Skallywag!

    :worthless: Of aforementioned Girlfriend!

They are not blaming the G/F per se,but just the fact that crap always happens when someone else is driving your truck.

Dude my wife flipped a car on a slope on a road right in front of her parents house that she drove on hundreds of times with no other drivers on the road. Car was totaled. She was fine. I do not let her drive my truck.
