Cool yeah there is a guy here in NC that did something extremely similar. I wish I could remember his user name and try and find the build thread it's a pretty sweet truck.

I’d just contact the shop you grabbed the pic from. They’re obviously capable of the work.

Theirs about half a dozen guys that have put storage into the bed floor of their second gens, but he’s the only one I know of on the east coast.

My original plan was to put storage under my bed, but now that this thing is sitting in my garage I’m torn on which would be a more beneficial addition to the truck.

Smp fab did the work I’m referring to in the post of mine you quoted

Need some opinions on my rear setup. Just about to start tearing into it, but I'm having buyers upgrade remorse.
I have the DMZ SUA and archive towers + 14" smoothies. Is it worth the extra 2" going up to 16" and bed cage? Tim @ DMZ mentioned his kit has a little more travel and the 14's may be the limiting factor. Either way it's way overkill for what I do..I just don't want one part to limit the other.(in that case trash it all and 4 link it right? HA)

Anyone have any info on dtf or know if hes still working around the central coast? I heard he had stopped doing full builds or making kits i cant remember which exactly but the website appears to be updated. Could be wrong. I was looking into getting a bumper built and hes right up the road

I’m not experienced with the DMZ SUA kit and what it pulls # wise but why does it matter if you’re admitting it’s overkill for your application?

You’ll always have a limitation with any setup. I see the best answer to your question being do you want to keep all of the available space in your bed or do you want full amounts of travel? The Archive kit is optimized for under the bed and not needing a bed cage. Getting a cage will take up bed space and cost more in the end. What are you willing to sacrifice?

That really seems like the best answer. Unless you can find a way to fit a longer shock / more travel with minimal bed cutting / intrusion, I wouldn't do it personally.

Thanks for the reply!! From wat I can remember I think the rear can pull a clean 14” of travel. The bed cage would be a super minimalist. I have seen some that are very less obtrusive and just get the job done.
On the other hand.. I do use the bed a TON, hence why I went with the archive. Maybe I’ll just keep what I have and spend the $$ elsewhere. I’m very indecisive.

@Tango Bravo has a cantilever kit which would get the travel and the uncompromised bed space.

A bitch and a half. I can measure it but I'm +2 with -20 offset rims.

Like no joke, I could not imagine +3.5. I can't make a U-turn on a two lane street without doing a 2 point

Edit: All switchbacks are 2-3 points. I have not made a switchback in one turn.
