I have a 2013 Tacoma. I've had an HID kit installed for about 2 years with no issue . I noticed the other day I no longer have high beams. Lows work fine. When i turn on high, the lights go out. Both bulbs. I figured since both don't work it rules out bulbs or ballasts being bad. I changed harnesses and still same issue. I checked the 10a fuses for hi RH and LH under the hood and no issues. Any suggestions?

Did you verify that the highs did work at some point? Could be that activating them rapidly burnt out the ballasts. The igniters weren't designed for HB use, unless it was on and kept on.
Usually I just tap mine, which is why I went with LED's to avoid the energy draw.
Also, I think it's normal for the LB to turn off when the HB is turned on. I've seen many automobiles do that on purpose. So that might be it's normal function, some do and some don't. Some cut the fogs. I'm not sure of the 2nd Gen specifically.

Yea they used to work (about a year). I have lows but when I hit my highs I have nothing, no lights. The ballasts I bought are dual ballasts. I did find out through Tacomaworld there is a relay called "Dim" that controls the switch from lo to high. I'm gonna try replacing that and see.
