I am thinking about purchasing a slide in pop-up camper. It weighs 1000lbs, the only issue is that I have a 2.7 L 4 cyl with manual transmission. Will I have any power left at all? For example: Could I still drive up steep grades?

Is that the dry rating? Yeah, you'd be over the limit by at least 34%. I'm surprised they're that heavy. I've seen them on Tacos before.

With a suspension upgrade your load capacity will go up, but yeah with a 4 cylinder you are going to have power issues.
Try loading it up with 750lbs now and take a test drive.
