i made a couple of post already. Been a Chevy man all my life but recently bought a 2001 2wd 2.4L ext cab Tacoma SR5 auto with 69,000 original miles and it sets pretty low to the ground. I bought it for my daily driver because my Duramax is pretty high up and I’m in a wheelchair and it’s getting hard on me as I get older to climb in and out of everyday.

This little truck is clean as a whistle I looked for it for months finally found this one in Ohio. I live in Tennessee. Well went with a car hauler and picked it up. It’s in great condition except for some rust bubbles on the quarter panels. The frame has some surface rust but that’s about it.

If anyone knows anything I need to look out for or take care of please let me know. Hope to get to know you guys and learn a lot about Toyota’s. I plan on keeping this truck forever.

Prices on Toyota’s like these around my area are out of the roof. I got what I think was a good deal on this one. I have $5400 in it, cost me $500 to go get it and $500 to get it registered and taxes. So after all is said and done I have total of $6400 in it with 69k mikes interior like new and only rust on it is the bubbles on the quarter panels. I hope later to find some new OEM panels to put on it and paint them, which I hate to because besides to rust bubble the paint is in excellent condition. Anyway sorry for the long post. Again any help would be greatly appreciated. I’m a gear head so look forward to learning about yotes and doing all the work myself
