Tiny homes seems like a derogatory term

Perhaps homes that are not overly large?

I have no problem with them being called tiny houses. I have to say it most times because it's what helps people recognize them. I could say I have a small house but people don't really get the picture till I tell them it's sub 360 square feet and on wheels

Sorry for the radio silence guys,

After trying to sell the truck for a month and not getting any bites I decided to try and fit a rear facing carseat in the back, and wouldn't you know it actually fits without any real work at all. My main reason for wanting to get rid of it was that I thought I needed a true 4 door for this and I'm thinking due to the circumstances I'll just hold on to it for a while. No skin off my nose. When someone wants to bring me a reasonable offer I'll consider it but till then I'll be enjoying Buster. Heres some pics from the for sale ad:

Well it's not without it's flaws. Has plenty of scratches and such, some UV damage here and there, as well as 2 significant dents. The two things that are keeping it from selling right now are the miles ~280k, and the fact that the Carfax says it has structural damage that was repaired. Now obviously it wasn't significant because the airbags never deployed and the truck wasn't totaled so I'm at a loss. I'm gonna put it up on a lift next week and see if I can see what they are talking about, but the truck tracks straight and true, no idea why they felt the need to put that in the records. Dealerships will not buy it because of that "structural damage" even if it's been repaired with Toyota parts.

2 Dents forward of rear passenger side wheel well, one on lower access door.
    3woQskT.jpg
Cracked taillight, dent/gouge in rear bumper, deep scratch forward of rear bumper.

UV burn on the hood, peeling clear on the roof near the rain rails.

If this ends up not selling in the next few months I'm just gonna call it fate and keep it forever. It's gonna always mean more to me than anyone else. I'll probably bedline the whole thing and put a trutrac in it like someone else was saying. If I can't sell it and get a 4x4 I'll just make the best of it. Probably gonna stay away from making it look like a 4x4 though, I never was a fan of the "type R" badges on non-Type R Honda's so I'll stay far away from that.

I have a 2009 with no dents and a rebuilt title...
I bought mine for $5,000- private sale.
70,000 miles on it when I bought it. 4 cylinder auto.

That mileage on yours is pretty high!

That's an outstanding deal in our neck of the woods. Any taco below 100k here is $12-15k regardless of year or body style.

If I keep it and the engine gives up the ghost I'll probably just replace the engine. Body/frame/interior doesn't show any signs of degrading besides some paint flaws.

Yeah I tend to keep my mods function oriented. I use this truck for literally everything, towing so many things, plenty of stuff in the back and off-roading. With the autolsd I’ve never been stuck off-road, expect once when I cracked through a pipe and landed on the frame. Hell my girlfriends cabin is 30km deep in the woods on an atv trail. I got some pics to give you an idea of what these can do

    Thanks for coming back!

Did you post it here? Didn't see it in the 2nd Gen market place. Would you mind disclosing the asking price?

Nice find and nice job cleaning it up.

As far as any future flips the best thing is to leave them as stock as possible. It appeals to more buyers. If you spend money putting accessories and what not on them, you limit the number of people who would want that vehicle with said parts/accessories. Or you’ll get someone who is interested but will say they don’t want said item(s) and request it be taken off if possible or low ball you for it. Unless you get a hell of a deal on something that you feel will bring a lot more value to the vehicle it’s not worth it at all.
