    Just got home from MJT.

It was a fun and eventful trip.
Good meeting everyone new that was there.

    6 trucks went.
1 tugged with a strap to get up the first major obstacle on MJT.
Unfortunately the strap got into his wheel well and pulled out his hard brake line completely out where it connects to the flexible line.

On the second main obstacle we got the brake out @Shmellmopwho winch the get the crippled truck up. A very well coordinated recovery there.
At the top of MJT were able to cap off the brake line. Add some brake fluid and bleed the system enough to get 3 of 4 brakes functional. @eon_blue did got the brake bleed job done.

We were able to get everyone back down the mountain and to the freeway safely and despite some damage I think everyone had a great time.

I don't think I've ever been so filthy after a trail run and that's saying something after spending 3 days on Mojave Rd once

Thanks to everyone who came out. It was my brake line that busted, and I can't even say how grateful I am to you guys for being as patient and helpful out there.

@eon_blue is smart enough to carry extra brake fluid with him, but he @oni06 were willing to drive down to town and pick up some up, and go back up to get my truck down if needed, luckily plugging the line and bleeding the brakes at the top with what we had was enough, and that wasn't necessary, otherwise we'd probably still be up there.

I was the only guy in the group with open diffs, and even though all the trail reports said that lockers weren't required, they really were.

And shout-out to @Shmellmopwho as well for the winch recovery. That was awesome.

I can't wait to see the videos and pictures everyone got of the whole day

I'm absolutely exhausted now, but fully satisfied with the days adventure.

Last year I think you could have made it up without a rear locker.

I see a rear locker install in your future.

Yea I think all the videos and stuff showed that those obstacles were a lot shallower than we encountered today.

Eventually yea, rear locker is going on, wife already said she's down for it. But probably sometime next year since we have a wedding to pay for in December...

Also, as much as I want the locker, I'm really enjoying the experience and knowledge im gaining from not having one.

How did the line break, too much flex?
The experience really helps out a lot. For example I've been wheeling a 2wd open diff for years keeping up with quite a lot, that experience kept me from getting stuck on gold mountain despite being in the least equipped truck

Nice work getting it out and home safely.
Always makes for a good story after the fact. How a group banded together with clothes pin 3 popsicle sticks and some gum make it out of some shitacular situation.

Rear locker definitely would assist matters I was shocked I slithered through last weekend with open diffs unassisted. Figured I just got Lucky

Can’t wait to do gears and lockers on my pile. :spending:

Of the half dozen times I've run MJT that was definitely the gnarliest. Funny because Lockwood was way easier than it was in years past. But those obstacles on MJT got harder for sure.

Lookin forward to seein the photos and videos

Speaking of lockers so I'm thinking about doing a regear and adding a locker then for 33s, well skinny 33s .Worth the regear or ehh
