    if your primary consideration is...what looks better? First generation single cab will always be the coolest look.

    It’s a bit stiff but I think smaller wheel with more sidewall would help a lot. Gets around 15 mpg average.

    A few OE parts from fancy trucks
    Well, I can understand keeping a gussied up F150 pristine I suppose. But they are certainly 'moddable'. Just might not be what you want to take off road?

    It's unlikely any Tacoma will ever ride as plush or have the power (or maybe even the MPG) of what you are rolling now!

    Maybe finding another to use as a beater is an option?
