    Hi,
    09 Reg cab 4x4
    RC 3" kit with struts
    Spidertrax 1.25 fronts
    Baja 16x8
    285/75/16 Grabber X3
    35psi
Truck is a hand full , floaty front and steering shake over small uneven road patches.
Looking for some help . RC customer service didnt offer much advice.
Thinking the short wheelbase and higher center of gravity is the issue, but advice of better components to make it more confident feeling.
    Thanks

Go with air pressure inside door jam, see if that helps. Good looking truck.

30psi is door jam , shop set them at that, but the ride felt the same as with 35. I thought since 10ply it should have more psi ?
I have no idea on caster , the alignment wasn't done at time of install yesterday.
The truck has a new frame and components from the Toyota recall.

My truck is on a 3" lift with general atx, increasing the caster to 2.5-3 degrees positive helps remove that float you're describing. If you find that your lower eccentrics are maxed out, you may need to swap in aftermarket upper control arms to add the additional caster needed.

Sounds like I need a corrected alignment. Do you guys think 30psi on a 10ply is the right set up too ?

I used to run 32 then bumped it to 35 recently, better mileage at 35 but soaked up bumps better at 32.

3" of lift I doubt their is any question as to the need for UCAs . Caster creates a better driving truck and with OE uppers you don't have anywheres close to enough caster. I would start researching UCAs. 10plys on a tacoma isn't going to do much for your truck either , maybe on an F-350

OE uppers on the truck. Toyota replaced the lowers under recall. The Grabber X3 in stock were a 10ply .
I'll look at replacing the UCA's to get the right ride quality.

I have a set of Mevotech I think the brand is from Rock auto. Look the same as SPC and a few others . The instructions are the same as SPC or light racing provide with there's too. Cheapest I found for what seems to be the same as some selling for much more

A single load range E at max PSI would probably be about right to support your whole truck. Door jamb PSI is based on stock volume and probably P-rated sidewalls, I'd probably be starting around 26-28 and see how that works.

Definitely get UCAs, ask around town for a GOOD alignment place... I've got a guy at a local tire place (not a chain) that does absolutely anal retentive alignments, when the original owner had that place his alignments took about an hour and involved both before and after test drives.

For next time, look at some 17s. I ditched the OE 16s on my 1st gen for 15s because practically everything in 16s is either P-rated or E-rated, very little in between and E-rated was overpriced and overkill. I couldn't do that with the 2nd gen without swapping to smaller front brakes, so I got a set of 17s, initial cost was probably the same as a set of E-rated 16s, but my tires will be cheaper every time after. I got a set of 265/70 C-rated K/O2s for like $160 each.
