Are those a different type of plastic clip or bolt?

Dynatrac ProRock 60 Rear Axle, that is important enough.
It is a Allen head bolt, washer, and a nylon lock nut on the back side to keep it secured.

ordered 100 of each and did the entire truck with them.

Ahh nice. You swap em out cuz clips started looking shitty? I like your idea, just remove your fender liners to get to the back side right?

No fender liners as I don't have a way to attach them pretty much, I still have not gotten around to making new ones and a way to attach fender liners, going to be a summer project hopefully.

But yea, I wanted something different so decided to do this as I had not seen it done before and it worked out.

Anyone with the timberland mica done this and can throw a pic on here? Curious if I'll have those lines after five years of flares on the truck, getting rub on the rear of the fender while at lock when going over bumps. Bonus points if you have a high clearance bumper, wondering if it'll look better with flares or without.

I found that hitting the truck with a buffer and detailing stuff got rid of any lines I had.

So I got these washer and can’t get a damn single clip in. Feels like with the oem clips, the washer is so thick it keeps the little teeth of the clip in. I pushed so hard I thought I’d dent the fender. Tried twisting and pushing. Do you have any tips?

After sanding and painting my clips...

Tried these washers, and I couldn’t get a single one in. Not a damn one. 1/16 (1.58mm) was just too thick with my stock clips.

Then I tried these from China. 1mm. And just too damn thick. They were plastic, not rubber so they had no give. I got about three in the front and couldn’t get any in the back and dented my fender trying to shove them in :annoyed:.

So fuck it. For now I just put the damn clips in. They are a little loose.

The next thing I’m going to try is 30mil or 20mil rubber liner, hole punched with a leather punch set. :notsure:
